15ct gold English Georgian Amethyst Intaglio ring c1820

One of my favourite finds of the year so far, this quite stunning and hugely rare English Georgian period 15ct gold ring hand made and set circa 1820.

These genuine quality and authentic Georgian rings are so hard to find.
This particular beauty boasts an un-damaged centre Amethyst of approx 8cts in size measuring 14mm high x 11mm wide.
What you cannot see in my images below is the intaglio crest that is hand carved in to the stone bearing the Fluer-de-lis with a snake wrapping itself around the heraldic symbol.
At this time in English history the snake represented eternal love and it was often seen on mourning rings.
The beautifully chased 15ct gold shank remains in utterly superb condition with no damage. It sits quite high off the finger and this is a very impressive ring indeed.
The front gallery area measures 18mm high x 15mm wide and the ring is a size 8.75 (UK) or 9 (US) but could be re-sized within reason without damaging the shank. Weight is 13.7 grams.
Comes with a full seven day money back guarantee along with a hefty insurance valuation certificate which is also your lifetime warranty of authenticity.
Price wise this ring represents a real and genuine bargain. I have seen lesser examples sell for twice my asking price at auction or in the higher end London antique galleries.
